The site looks so cool! I love the black and white gradation (?) background!!
The slideshow function adds nicely to the homepage too. It's easy to see what the site is about :)

Right now, you can only upload pictures and art to contests... what if there was a critique page where you could post anything that you are working on and have people comment and critique on them?

This aspect is something that is usually most confusing about Ellipsis. We are actually always accepting general submissions, not just themed contest entries--we just put everything that was received during the themed month under the same album. We'll probably fix this problem once and for all next year, with an album for "general submissions" by itself!
In short, you can submit any unthemed submission now! We try to promote "critiquing" throughout the site through our commenting features, which I wish more people would utilize. However, if you are talking about a page specifically for "works in progress", we'll definitely keep that idea in mind for the future-- thanks for writing!

I've only been here a few times ... but this new site looks awesome! :)
Oh just one quick comment: as i'm typing this the color is a very light grey and is hard to read what i'm typing.. I don't know if it's just my computer but can you look into it please??

I know I don't go to this school, but this artwork is amazing, and sites like these should make there way into every school to promote the arts communities.
